STUDENT COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE

I understand that by making a commitment to the Institute I am making a promise to the Kanakuk Institute, the Institute staff, and most importantly to God.

I understand that by signing this commitment form I am making promises in the following areas:

I understand that my purpose in coming to the Kanakuk Institute is to commit this year to the Lord, to His Word, and to the development of my character.

I promise to submit my life to God’s Word, allowing it to guide my thoughts, actions, and decisions.

I promise to uphold the moral integrity set forth by Christ in my life.

I promise to pursue sexual purity in my life and understand that any involvement in sexual immorality of any kind during my time at the Institute could result in my dismissal from the program.

I promise to abstain from any use of drugs (legal or illegal, ex: marijuana) or alcohol as well as vapes or any other substance/item in a category like this that could fall in any of these categories in my time at the Institute and understand that any involvement during that time could lead to my dismissal from the program.

I promise I have read the Kanakuk Institute student handbook before signing this.

I promise to submit myself to the leadership of the Kanakuk Institute and recognize they have my best interest in mind. I understand they will hold me accountable and help point me to God's Word.

I promise to commit myself, my gifts, and talents to the betterment of the Christian Community at the Kanakuk Institute.

I promise to allow my fellow classmates to hold me accountable to the standard of God’s Word.

I recognize that I play an important part in this community and have a responsibility to the staff, other students, and the facilities at The Cottages.

I promise to treat The Cottages property with the utmost respect and care.

I understand that Kanakuk Institute graduate credit hours at all of our partner institutions require an 80% average final grade to receive credit.

I understand that in order to receive a certificate of completion, a transcript of credits, to walk in graduation, and to be officially endorsed by the Institute I must receive at least an 80% average final grade.

I have read and understand the above, and I agree to upholding these standards while I am a student at the Kanakuk Institute.
